The group made this  called  in a statement signed by it president , Karona Etonye and secretary, Ekenwan Akwagbe.
It said that the comments made by  Clark last week where he accused the immediate past president, Goodluck Jonathan  as weaks was very unfortunate for a man that allegedly benefited so much from the Jonathan’s administration, The Nation reports.
The IJF advised Buhari that the Ijaw elder statesman is a fair weather man that only dines with you when the going is okay and flee when things are not working fine.
It reminded the president that Clark melted out the same treatment to past governors of Delta state, from whose administrations he allegedly made immense gains.
Recall that Clark, who was one of the staunch supporters of Jonathan reportedly told a group, Think Nigeria First Initiative, on October 7 that he had quit the Peoples Democratic Party.
He had stated that he will not join the All Progressives Congress but will continue . He disclosed that he will not openly support any candidate from either PDP or APC.
He pointedly accused Jonathan of lacking in will to fight corruption as one of the reasons why he quit the former ruling party.
Clark said: “… Jonathan didn’t have the political will-power to fight corruption. He’s too a gentleman. Drivers of yesterday are living in palatial buildings now under his government. In advanced countries, when you are living above your means, people query you. That’s not so in Nigeria. Former governors and lawmakers are now asking for immunity.
“Jonathan meant well for this country, but the will power to fight corruption was not there.
“In an ideal society, when a man who earns 20,000 as his monthly salary and all of a sudden he acquire something that is worth N100,000, he should be questioned, but here in Nigeria, immunity has covered those that should be questioned.”
