Adele Says 'Hello' In First Video From Her New Album '25'

It's been almost five years since the last new Adele album. Today we have a new video from Adele — it's the opening song from 25, which will come out Nov. 20. With her third album, probably the last in a trilogy of albums with an age in the title, the 27-year-old singer has made what she described in a post on Facebookas "a make-up record. ... Making up for lost time. Making up for everything I ever did and never did. ... 25 is about getting to know who I've become without realising. And I'm sorry it took so long but, you know, life happened."
The video for the song was directed by Xavier Dolan and casts Adele as alone and calling a past lover to apologize for "everything I've done" but finding no one answers her call. The song was written by Adele and her producer Greg Kurstin. You may know his work with Sia, P!nk, Peaches, Beck or the Flaming Lips.
The new album will feature songs by Bruno Mars, Danger Mouse and Tobias Jesso Jr. The album is available for pre-order.

INEC staff welcome the appointment of new Chairman

By Ben Agande
Abuja – Staff of the Independent national electoral commission have welcome the appointment of a new Chairman of the commission saying it will refocus the commission to face the challenge of the forthcoming elections in Kogi and Bayelsa state.
Speaking with Vanguard in Abuja, a cross section of the staff said the appointment of a substantive chairman for the commission would provide the required leadership that it deserves.
MAHMOOD-YAKUBU
MAHMOOD-YAKUBU
President Buhari appointed ‎Prof. Mahmood Yakubu as Chairman of INEC, Mrs. Amina Bala Zakari as member representing North West, Dr. Antonia Taiye Okoosi-Simbile as Commissioner North Central, Alhaji Baba Shettima Arfo, from Borno as Commissioner representing North East, Dr, Mohammed Mustapha Lecky from Edo as Commissioner representing South South and Prince Soyebi Adedeji Solomon from Ogun representing South West.
Reacting to the development, director in the commission who does not want his name in print because he is a civil servants said the appointment was a welcome development.
‘It is a welcome development because the commission needs a substantive head to consolidate on the gains made by the former chairman especially as it prepares for the coming elections in Bayelsa and Kogi state. Since this is the first election to be conducted under President Buhari, there is the need to have a substantive leader in place. It is a very cheery news for us in the commission\’ said.
Another staff of the commission, Nicholas Agbambu said with the appointment of the chairman and other national commissioners President Buhari has demonstrated that he is ready to build on the achievements of the former chairman.
‘The commission is a very important organ of government so it cannot afford to be headed by an acting Chief executive. There is a limit to what somebody bin an acting capacity can do so the appointment of a substantive chairman as well as other national commissioners is a good omen for the commission\’ he added.
For another staff of the commission who works in the research department, the appointment of the chairman and national commissioners will bring credibility to the conduct of the forth coming elections.
‘There would have been a very serious credibility problem if the elections were to be conducted with the acting chairman presiding over it. With the full compliment of the commissioners now, things will be better in the commission as they will ll bring in their wealth of experience to bear on the conduct of the elections\’‎ he said.

BREAKING: Tribunal Orders For Re-run In Akwa Ibom Gov Poll

An uneasy calm enveloped the residents of Uyo today, October 21, following  the final verdict which was passed concerning the petition against the Akwa Ibom state governor, Udom Gabriel Emmanuel, at the state governorship election tribunal.
Udom-and-Umana at Tribunal
Udom and Umana
The tribunal ordered for a rerun of the governorship election in the state, Vanguard reports.
The Justice Sadiq Umar-led tribunal sitting in Abuja ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission to conduct re-run election in 18 local government areas of the state. There are 31 local government areas in Akwa Ibom.
Giving its verdict on Wednesday, the Tribunal said it was satisfied that there were discrepancies during the governorship election held on April. The Tribunal further asked the INEC to conduct the re-run elections.
Although, the tribunal commenced sitting in Uyo, it had  to be moved to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT)  owing to the unfavourable security atmosphere in the state capital.
Udom had been declared by the INEC as the winner in an election alleged to be the most controversial in the history of elections in the country.
It was reported that the election  was allegedly marred with violence,  killings, harassment of voters, hijacking of election materials and unprecedented rigging which made international and local observers to pass  a unanimous verdict that it was a sham and recommended a complete cancellation of the exercise.
The Nation had reported that the All Progressives Congress which is the main opposition in the state also came out strongly to decry the conduct of the exercise.
The APC said there was no election in the state as it accused the former governor Godswill Obot Akpabio who is now a minority leader at the Senate, of allegedly deploying state  machinery to rig the election and overturn the popular wish of the people.
As a result of this, the APC and its candidate, Umana Okon Umana, had to challenge the  victory  at the tribunal seeking a cancellation of the purported election.
However, during the processes of the proceedings, there had been several witnesses summoned to the tribunal to testify.
Most of them had given shocking revelations as regards the election conducts.
The witnesses recounted before the tribunal how results were announced for many polling units in various local government areas despite the fact that no election took place in such units.

broadcasting on Monday. The Internet-based radio continued with its broadcast issuing ultimatum to the Federal Government to release its director within 48 hours or face a
revolt, ardent listeners of the station said.

Calls to the spokesperson for the National Broadcasting Commission, Mr. Awwalu Salihu, in Abuja on Monday, were not answered. Punch reports that Salihu had in the past said
that it was difficult to dismantle online broadcasting services because the protocol for doing so was very long. He, however, said the process for bringing down the radio had started. Cancer: Diezani Begs Nigerians To Pray For

The embattled former petroleum minister Diezani Alison-Madueke has appealed to Nigerians to pray for her to survive the surgical operation that she is due to have next week.
Alison-Madueke, , says she needs to come out strong to face the allegations against her.
Diezani Alison-Madueke wants Nigerians to pray for her
Diezani Alison-Madueke wants Nigerians to pray for her
This comes after a series of jaw-dropping revelations about her alleged shady deals. She was first arrested by the UK National Crime Agency over corruption allegation , and she was also allegedly caught with about £13 billion, before reports emerged that she cannot leave London until she answeres all allegations levelled against her.
From her sick bed she asked Nigerians to pray for her as she undergoes cancer surgery next week as she hopes to come out strong to face the allegations against her.
Vanguard reports that the family lawyer, Oscar Onwudiwe, denied reports of her arrest, insisting that she was undergoing cancer treatment in the UK and “hopes to come out strong to face all the allegations.”
According to The Cable, Onwudike said:“The Madueke family, like most other families, has its own challenges. For instance, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke has been receiving treatment for cancer in the UK which started while she was in office.
“She completed months of chemotherapy just last week and she is scheduled to undergo surgery next week in London.

“The family has been bearing this challenge with prayers and as much grace and fortitude as possible; and would plead with all reasonable Nigerians to pray for her recovery so that she can face these allegations and give account of her stewardship.”
Nigerians have since expressed sarcasm over the plight of the former minister, saying that she has to survive her present ailment and return to face the charges brought against her with a view to proving her innocence or serve the punishment which her sins deserve.

Drugs found in Lamar Odom's system, condition being treated as "overdose".

All kind of drugs imaginable were found in his system. Quite sad. Read the exclusive E! report below
'A source inside Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas tells us that "drugs were found in his system," and doctors are treating the situation as an "overdose." Lamar remains unconscious and on a ventilator but is still alive. It also appears that the former Los Angeles Lakers player suffered from a "loss of oxygen but also possible stroke. So, likely there's brain damage, but they're not sure how much," the source adds.
"Virtually every drug imaginable was found in his system." Lamar appears to have suffered an "ischemic stroke," which is caused by a blood clot preventing blood flow to the brain. This type of stroke is often associated with a cocaine overdose, among other drugs. Our source adds that Lamar "had been partying since Friday. He was doing crack cocaine all weekend and he choked on his mucous," the insider explains. "They're now having to fix all the damage it has done.

Khloe K reportedly took a camera crew with her to visit Lamar in hospital, to inherit his $50m fortune if he dies

Khloe K reportedly took a camera crew with her to visit Lamar in hospital, to inherit his $50m fortune if he dies

But he won't in Jesus name. Just months after his best friend died from a drug overdose, Lamar was found unconscious after suffering from a drug overdose. According to Radar Online, Khloe took a camera crew with her to visit Lamar in hospital as they're filming it for KUWTK. Their report below
Khloe, 30, sister Kim Kardashian and “Momager” Kris Jenner hopped on a private jet to Sin City with cameras rolling as soon as they learned about Odom’s overdose after a three-day booze and pill bender that culminated in him being found unconscious at the Bunny Ranch.

“It’s [a] s**t show,” a source close to the situation told Radar. “The Kardashians are trying to run everything. They walked into the hospital with cameras rolling. It was shocking, but hardly a surprise.”
Khloe was “extremely upset,” the source told Radar, adding that “they are all crying and pretending like they care.
“The doctors have been working non-stop to make sure Lamar pulls through and the Kardashians are making everything a circus,” the source told Radar. “It is ridiculous. They’re bossing people around. They are trying to take over the situation, so typical.”
And below is a report from MediaTakeOut saying Lamar has no will and Khloe will inherit everything if he dies and gets to decide whether to pull the plug on Lamar who is said to be brain dead...
This morning, we spoke EXCLUSIVELY with a member of Lamar Odom's family - who confirmed that Lamar's condition is EXTREMELY DIRE.
Lamar's family told MediaTakeOut.com, "Lamar did not have a will or anything. So whatever money he has [his fortune is estimated to be $50 million] will go to Khloe and not to his kids. And she's his next of kin too . . so she decides if they stop lifesaving measures."
We're told that Lamar's children and his ex-fiance Liza Morales arrived in Las Vegas early this morning.
Under NEVADA LAW, Khloe Kardashian - as his CURRENT WIFE - has the right to make ALL DECISIONS regarding his continued medical treatment, over his direct family members or even his children. The pair SIGNED the divorce paperwork, but because of a BACKLOG in the California courts - a judge has NOT YET signed the divorce order. This is 100% FACTS!!
